The Joy of Love {Day Nine}

09: Passions and Hobbies.

As I've said before Ryan LOVES to work out. In the last year (2010) he has only missed maybe 60 days of gym time. He goes for about 2 hours every single day and he really does do work hahahaha. His gym buddies and him have like lifting contests you could call them, they challenge each other to lift more weight than they can. Usually Ryan wins...according to him at least. ; ) I only complain about it every once in a while because sometimes I just want him to stay home, but I try to keep that to a minimum because I know it makes him happy. So I decided to take a picture of him working out with his IronGym (yeah he works out at home too) and post it. I didn't want to go to the gym and embarrass him by taking his pictures in there (so thoughtful of me haha!).

Busy Morning!

Hello there fellow bloggers!

I wasn't able to post my Joy of Love blog today because I was literally gone all day until the husband had to leave for work so I didn't get to take the picture I needed for today's lesson. So I'll just tell you a little about my morning!
I had to run a few errands this morning that I've been meaning to do. We have a photo shoot that I have been putting off shopping for (so not like me haha) so today I finally started! First I went to the post office though, bright and shining early to send out a package to a great friend of mine who is in Iraq right now serving our country and while I was there I also got the paper work for our passports. Even though we may not being going to Jamaica when I thought we would, we are definitely still going. Then I made my way out to the Outlet malls and did some light shopping for a few of the things we need for our photo shoot (in March) which proved to be quite difficult and I ended up having to change the color scheme that we had wanted to go with originally. We will just save that one for our next Christmas card shoot! (Yes I know...planning WAY in advance!) By the time I had gone to only 2 or 3 stores it was time for me to shoot back to town and pick up Maximus from school. Max and I went over to Walmart to pick up Bella's prescription and I decided to treat the kids to Happy Meals since Max has been getting so many great notes home from his teacher. I have yet to get a bad note (and hopefully I never will) but when they go out of there way to give you a good note is super special. So I dropped Max off at home with the hubs and Bella and headed right back out to the outlets. Ryan decided to let me get an early birthday gift since it will come in handy this weekend and since the store was handing out 20% off coupons so I went and got an amazing little Coach satchel! I am like uber obsessed with Coach. I dont know if its because it is the most accessible of designer purses or if its because they are so gorgeous but I LOVE to get anything from there! Next I'm trying to talk him into a pair of shoes and the new Poppy perfume (its to die!). I would also love to have a Chanel purse but I'll let that wait until I have a job too hahaha. After all that shopping I came home with Ryan's shirts for the shoot and Max's, a super cute little pair of jeans for Gabriella, my Coach satchel, and some other random things I found. All that's left for me to get is an outfit for us ladies and we will be set! Also when I got home there were also 3 packages of stuff I had ordered from various places for Max's upcoming birthday party weekend and LegoLand weekend!!
Unfortunately I was only home with the husband for about a half an hour before he had to leave us for the day, thankfully he was understanding and we will be able to make up for the lost time this weekend. =)
The kids and I relaxed for the rest of the day and after I put them to bed I was able to pick up the little messes around the house, work on some homework, and then I decided to sit down and write this post!
 Here's a picture of the satchel! =)
Now that I've rambled on about my day I hope that makes up for the missing Joy of Love post, and validates why I wasnt able to get the picture. Promise tomorrow you'll get a double dose!

The Joy of Love {Day Eight}

08: Gift From the Heart.

The greatest gift my husband has ever given me has been the gift of unconditional love. He married me knowing my past, my flaws, and my quirks. When he married me he told me that my wedding ring was his promise to forever respect me, support me, cherish me, take care of me, hold me, catch me, and most of all LOVE me. He swore to be the man in my sons life that he needed and to be the best dad to any of our future children that he knew how to be. Our wedding bands mean so much more to me than just a symbol that we're taken, or a status symbol because of the size of the diamond. Our wedding bands have a meaning that is too complicated to even explain all the way. In them is all the promises that we made to each other. The promise to NEVER forsake each other; to ALWAYS care for each other before anyone else; to NEVER forget where we were before we were married and how far we've come since; to ALWAYS keep that fire alive; to NEVER stop growing and learning together; and so so much more.

My husband gave me my forever, our love story will never have a happy ending because is will NEVER end.
A portion of your soul has been entwined with mine. A gentle kind of togetherness, while separate we stand. As two trees deeply rooted in separate plots of ground, while their topmost branches come together, forming a miracle of lace against the heavens.

The Joy of Love {Day Six}

06: Who They Love.

My husband loves his family. When his side of our family is around he is even more animated than he normally is and when my side of the family is around its just the same. He loves to have people around him all the time so having people that love him and that he loves is even better for him.
This is Ryan with part of our huge family. =)

The Joy of Love {Day Five}

05: Love to Hate.

I love my husband to death but there are obviously things about him that drive me bonkers; but I just keep on loving him anyways! One thing that absolutely drives me nuts is that he thinks he needs to drink all these protein shakes to keep his very muscular (and sexy) shape. I dont think he needs them at all but there is absolutely no arguing with him about this. So I decided to take a picture of all of his protein stuff and then show you a picture of him drinking it. GAG. I don't know if any of you have ever tasted it but its pretty intense and disgusting. So here he is, my hunka hunka burning love drinking his protein shake for the day, before we left for our walk this morning.
Oh yeah and he likes protein bars too. =)
 He shaking it up...
And chugging it down!

The Joy of Love {Day Four}

04: What They Wear.

Naturally I chose Gabriella to be today's subject because out of the three, her closet is the prettiest! Getting her dressed is a huge joy for me. I always knew if I was to ever have kids and I got lucky and had a daughter, she would be the best dressed little thing ever! I love to put her in dresses and if it was warm enough all year long you better believe that's all she would wear! I am also all about the girly stuff, the more pink or purple the better! So I decided to just take a picture of just her closet with all of her stuff in it.
One of these days we're going to buy her a real dresser to match her crib but for now her jammies, socks, and onesies are in that little drawer thing. =)
